The Good Stuff Of

Each year more people are switching to natural products within their skincare routines. Attitudes within the beauty and skincare industry are changing, as awareness increases around both the health and environmental benefits of using plant-based ingredients. With naturally-derived products also becoming more effective and more easily accessible, more consumers are choosing to simplify the way in which they care for their skin and use “greener” ingredients to fulfil their beauty needs.

At Good Bubble we are committed to providing this same ethos for the precious skin of our little ones. Our ‘no nasties’ guarantee means that we don’t use any harsh chemicals, keeping our products as natural as possible, whilst also ensuring they are safe and effective. We are constantly striving to further improve the mild formulations we already use within our products and are on a mission to ensure our brand is as inclusive as possible, even for those with eczema-prone and sensitive skin.

Read on for a look below at some of the good stuff we pack into our bubbly goodness and their benefits.

1. Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus Undatus)

Our delicious smelling, red-topped Dragon Fruit range contains real dragon fruit extract. The skin-loving fruit is rich in calcium, iron, carotene, phosphorus and vitamins C, B1, B2 and B3 to help moisturise and condition hair and skin.

2. Cloudberry (Rubus Chamaemorus)

Our sweetest scent is definitely that of the blue topped Cloudberry range and the real fruit extract comes from the cloudberry plant. These berries are rich in vitamins A, C and E, which nourish the hair and scalp to help keep them hydrated and healthy.

3. Prickly Pear (Opuntia Ficus-Inica Flower)

We love the scent of our Prickly Pear range, which also features the legendary Gruffalo on all products. The prickly pear cactus is rich in vitamin C and contains skin-softening vitamins E and K. It is widely acknowledged for its anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-ageing properties, also helping to keep hair and skin hydrated.

4. Coconut (Cocos Nucifera)

Moisturising, antibacterial and full of vitamin E. Coconut oil (or Cocos Nucifera) is perfect in its 100% natural form for bottoms, dry scalps and baby massage. It is also an ideal moisturiser for the lips and skin or even a fantastic makeup remover for Mummy (just massage some of our 100% Organic Coconut oil into your face and then wipe off with a cotton pad soaked in warm water - coconut oil for babies) We use coconut oil in our Little Softy Moisturisers and these mild formulations have had some fantastic results with eczema-prone little ones. We also use other coconut-derived ingredients in some of our formulations as a natural alternative to including sulfates. These are Coco-Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Sodium Cocoamphoacetate. We think they’re pretty great all round. Hurrah for coconuts!

5. Avocado (Persea Gratissima)

Not just our favourite toast topper, the humble avocado is an amazing natural skincare ingredient. Naturally soothing and moisturising, avocado oil is sourced from pressed avocados. This clear, yellow-green oil features in both of our Gruffalo Little Softy Moisturiser and Fragrance Free Little Softy Moisturiser and can penetrate quickly into the lower layers of skin, which keeps it moisturised for longer.

6. Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)

Skin-loving natural moisturiser which comes from the nuts of the Karite tree also called the shea tree, or the “tree of life” and is used in our Little Softy Moisturisers.  Shea trees can live for 300 years and produce nuts only once annually when they are immediately harvested. The nut’s fatty oils are extracted and heated to make the nourishing butter which is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F.

7. Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia)

Derived from the Tea Tree which is native to Australia. Known for its antiseptic and skin-healing properties, tea tree oil is also widely reported to help deter head lice. This is used in our Grizzly Mane Detangler.

8. Glycerin

The Glycerin we use is of vegetable origin. It is used as a moisturiser and humectant in all our products to help attract and retain moisture to our hair and skin.

If you would like anymore information about the ingredients listed on the back of our products you can always refer to our handy online glossary - where all that mumbo jumbo, is explained in real person language.
